Wendy K.S. Berman
FOUNDER/CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Wendy founded iron blender studios, an award-winning design and marketing studio, in 2000. She has over twenty-five years of experience in design and marketing for print and online media.
Most notably, Wendy was the Marketing Manager for Hatmaker, one of the Corey & Company studios (Watertown, MA), where she worked with the late Tom Corey, an internationally-recognized designer and branding guru behind familiar logos and branding for networks such as Nickelodeon, MTV, Cartoon Network, TV Land, and FX. Her career also includes a stint at an interactive design agency, followed by some time as a Consumer Marketing Manager for SmarterKids.com at the height of the e-commerce revolution. Her work experience ranges from strategy brainstorming to print and web design to PR campaigns to customer loyalty and retention efforts.
She has received awards and recognition for both print and website work, and a project was also featured in Innovative Promotions that Work by Lisa Cyr (Rockport Publishers).
Wendy earned a BA in Graphic Communications from Franklin Pierce College (now Franklin Pierce University) where she served on the Alumni Board of Directors for seven years. She volunteers with The White Church (listed on the National Register of Historic Places) in Blandford, Massachusetts, where she provides advertising and marketing expertise for the annual fundraiser. She is also a past PTA President at Farmington River Elementary School in Otis, Massachusetts, where she helped to increase annual fundraising efforts by 15%.
